JOY TO THE WORLD
AND PEACE BE TO YOU

Joy to the world and peace be to you
It’s a beautiful day
Isaiah’s prophecy fulfilled
Saviour of the world the king of Israel
In a virgin’s womb
is born today for you and me

I’m loving the Joy of Christmas today
The word of God is made flesh and
my heart is made His room
What a precious gift brought to us
By this glorious birth
Men will live for eternity

Oh what a joy
The prince of peace is here
glory to the new born king
His rule and authority
Is everlasting
Of the peace He brings
There will be no end
And He rules eternally

The son of His love is given us
The kingdom of God is established
In our hearts today
He’s come to make us His righteousness
and to give us life
That we may live for eternity

The government shall be upon
His shoulders
He’s name is wonderful, counsellor
The mighty God
Sun of righteousness, the king of glory
The savior of the world, our lord

Let the whole world rejoice
The King of kings and Joy of heaven
Is here with us
To give us life abundantly
